[BondLady] Iraqiya renews conditions for attending emergency meeting 02/01/2012 10:21 BAGHDAD, Jan.2 (AKnews)- Iraqiya List won't participate in the due crisis meeting of the political leader unless some conditions are met, an Iraqiya deputy said today. Recent steps against two Iraqiya leaders have further deepened the crises in the country.
Baghdad issued an arrest order against Vice President Tareq Hashemi for his alleged involvement in terrorist operations. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki also sacked his Iraqiya deputy, Saleh Multag, saying Mutalg does not believe in political process. Hashemi has denied the charges, accusing the PM of politicizing the case and the security of fabricating evidence against him.
He has now taken refuge in Iraqi Kurdistan Region, where Iraqi President Jalal Talabni regards him as a guest and refuses to hand him over to Baghdad. Mutlag also does not recognize his dismissal order.
This is while Iraqiya ministers and lawmakers have boycotted sessions for more than two weeks.
[BondLady] To prevent further tension, Talabani has called for a crisis meeting of the political leaders. Wahda al-Jamili, an Iraqiya leader told AKnews that her bloc supports the meeting as a measure to break through the current crisis but Iraqiya's presence in the meeting is bound to some conditions. The most prominent conditions, she said, are that the issues of the VP and Mutlag be discussed in the due meeting, the agenda of the meeting be announced for the public, and committees be formed to follow up the enforcement of recommendations by the meeting within a deadline.
Jamili added the emergency meeting in itself was called for to settle Hashemi and Mutlag's issues. The largest bloc to the House of Representatives, the Shiite dominated National Coalition has refused to attend the meeting should the parties address the issue of Hashemi and Mutlag, considering this an interference in judiciary authority.
Earlier an advisor to Maliki said that PM will not reconcile over his sacked deputy, Mutlag, and will not accept any mediation. By Haidar Ibrahim http://www.aknews.com/en/aknews/4/281750/
[BondLady] they need to let the judicial part take care of mutlaq and hashemi
[BondLady] and the rest need to concentrate on trying to find some form of aggreements within parl and the goi to work for the people an drop there personal agendas
[BondLady] after all they are suposed to be working for the people to give them a better life
[BondLady] instead of useing there positions to make things worse on the people and stagnate progress
[BondLady] either allawi will check his attitude and hate at the door or he leaves
[BondLady] as i had said yesterday many of the ones who stood with him before is leaveing him
[BondLady] as they realise they werent about his agendas
[BondLady] they were about working things out and working to pass these important laws which need to be passed so the budget can be opened on time
[BondLady] and they can begin to rebuild there country and there lives

[BondLady] SLC leader advises Iraqiya to reconsider its policies 02/01/2012 12:02 BAGHDAD, Jan.2 (AKnews)- A member of the State of Law Coalition (led by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki) advised Iraqiya List leaders to reconsider their policies towards their members instead of accusing others.
Recently some members of the Iraqiya List (led by Maliki's elections' rival Ayad Allawi) in Wasit, Basra, Najaf and Babel provinces withdrew from the List on the ground that "the List has deviated from its original political agenda." Iraqiya held SLC for the splits, accusing SLC of putting pressure on Iraqiya members.
[BondLady] Khaled al-Assadi, SLC leader, told AKnews that the Iraqiya leaders all have to reconsider the nature of their policies in treating the general issues of the country and in treating the components of the List "which has led many withdrew from Iraqiya."
[BondLady] We like Iraqiya to stay the big bloc it was," Assadi said, because such withdrawals from the List will set hurdles for holding dialogues. "Iraqiya should seek real solutions for the issues with its members instead of accusing others," he added. Iraqiya lawmakers and ministers have boycotted session for more than two weeks in protest to what they described as "unilateral ruling" in Iraq and "lack of real partnership in political process
[BondLady] SLC and Iraqiya tensions strained further after the court issued an arrest order for an Iraqiya prominent leader, Vice President Tareq Hashemi, on terrorism charges. Hashemi has denied the charges, accusing Maliki of politicizing the case and the security of fabricating evidence. He has now fled to Kurdistan region and demanded his trail be transferred to Khanaqin, in Diyala province. Baghdad has rejected the demand and order to confiscate his assets.
[BondLady] Maliki also sacked Saleh Mutlaq, his deputy who is also an Iraqiya leader. The order came after Mutlag described PM as "like a dictator". Mutlag does not recognize the order. By Raman Brusk http://www.aknews.com/en/aknews/4/281768/

[BondLady] they are down to the wire
[BondLady] and have alread and they had to do this also...but they are already getting ready to replace ministers and deputies if they have to in the event allawi cant work within his bloc and for iraq and its progress
[BondLady] they will move on to either the majority gov which will keep them from goin bk to ground zero
[BondLady] or have elections that will take them back to ground zero and delay every thing they need to do right now to move on and rebuild
[BondLady] so forming a majority gov so they can make the important decisions seems to me the only way to go
[BondLady] its of my opinon allawi will never get over his hate for mliki weve seen it this whole time
[BondLady] and its caused major hold ups of hugely important things that needed to be done and set to laws and enacted
