[bluedog] Al-Ahdab Oilfield Three-Years Ahead Of Schedule Capacity at Al-Ahdab oilfield reached 120,000 bpd on Friday, three years ahead of schedule, according to Reuters.

The one-billion barrel field in Wassit Province, central Iraq, is being developed by Chinese firm CNPC. The firm started production at 60,000 bpd in summer, six months ahead of schedule and it has doubled it far faster than expected.

CNPC is the first foreign oil company to sign an oil service contract in the post-Saddam era. It renegotiated an old development deal for Al-Ahdab back in March 2009.

It collected its first payment this week for work on the field: 650,000 barrels of crude oil. Output for the field is intended mostly for export, but it will also fuel local power stations to ease fuel shortages.

Did it go live yesterday and we are waiting for the announcement today?
Is everything really done that has to be done for this to happen?
Can Iraq push this into next week?

That seems to be the questions that everyone is asking themselves this morning...

_The MOU says it has to go today or severe repercussions will fall on Iraq and the IMF, WB, etc will step in along with UN Sanctions being placed back on Iraq and the WB/IMF will to RV the currency by force by the 4th. I don't feel that Maliki will let this happen. Shabibi will let this go when he is satisfied. But it needs to go today!

So, what if it doesn't appear today? No real fear, as the well over 140 currencies will not stay idle any longer and something WILL be done to get this thing through immediately....

While at CHASE I was working in a cubicle with a woman with a foreign accent who was helping me with the wire. I never told her what the wire was for until, eventually she asked me.

The word DINAR only appears once on a DB order sheet in the upper left hand corner on the DB logo. I did not really want to tell her as I would like to keep my privacy, but eventually I told her that I was purchasing Iraqi Dinar.

_A well dressed young manager came into the cubicle to assist her and had a nice leather/like portfolio labeled Private Banking on it and handed it to me, asking if I would ever consider their private banker program.

I began to shake my head in puzzlement and eventually asked them both, why on earth would they offer private banking options to a guy who has only $200.00 in their bank and one who just took out $100.00 to add to a wire fee in Poland?

He stumbled and stuttered and could not find an answer. Then the foreign accented banker simple said, "Mr. WxMan we see the potential for your investment." Wow.

I then proceeded to tell them all of the information I possessed regarding this speculation, which I do all my banks/credit unions.

I informed all the tellers at one of my credit unions three weeks ago, only to have all of them, including the branch manager write down all of my websites for further research.... they all had ZERO idea about this speculation and appeared that each would purchase a COSTCO run amount on their own.

Back to CHASE. The private banker guy was kissing my White Irish/Italian Hiney! To be quite honest, he appeared to be quite the student regarding all of my information and just listened.

I felt he was playing dumb, because he has been instructed to play dumb, but secretly knew everything I was telling him.

From reading all of the other banking stories, I decided to take a leap of faith and ask if he had a currency book available. He immediately got up and said "sure, let's take a look." He came back with a mid-sized flexible currency book and turned to the page showing Iraqi Dinar and I proceeded to see all the current currency.

They were very helpful, almost too helpful to get my wire out and it was sent. The foreign female banker told me that she lived in Kuwait for 20 years and was a Palestinian. The fact that she lived in Kuwait explained a lot.

I never told them my entire holdings of Dinar, but simply said it was substantial. They were trying very hard to have me come back to work with them. The last words from the female banker was, "I'm sure you will be back Mr. (wxman).

I came home and told my wife and showed her the private banker leather/like portfolio. All for a guy with now $100.00 in CHASE. ~wxman

_I have wondered about the various bank stories for a long time. Are they true or are they not true or maybe some sort of gray in between the truth and what they want to be the truth.

I believe this bank story. Number one, the question of authenticity was answered quickly and unwaveringly. Number two, the person answering is obviously intelligent, capable of understanding what was said to he and she. Number three, the rate sounds right. I have always said the rate would be $3.86. I was off a little. It doesn't hurt that AJ is a believer. lol

Where I came up with $3.86 is based on a lot of history on the sites. Shabibi said that the revalued rate would be equal to what it was before it was devalued. $3.22 ($3.33) and the IMF said they could add 20% for inflation. $3.22 pus 20% inflation is $3.86. I wish the high rates we hear pegged to the GBP were true but this rate of $3.75 seems reasonable.

His parting comments were exactly why I stopped bringing any information that I had to any sites. Every time I did, it was like throwing a piece of raw meat into a pin with a pack of hungry dogs. There are some that wait on the sidelines for any opportunity to discredit any positive post. The reason is because they can't comprehend or believe that they are worthy of receiving such a blessing. They think if they remain negative that if it does not happen, their fears will have been justified.

Regardless, we know that we don't have long to wait to see if it RVs in the year 2011.

_My boyfriend and I made an appt with Chase Bank this morning. Went in to talk about diff types of accts. We were talking about accts and I asked him if he could pull up f/e rates and he said yes, so he did, I asked him what the iqd rate was he said 3.75 I said are you sure, he said yes. He didn't know anything about the iqd, so I told him a little about it. I asked him if he could call corp and ask them about cashing in, so he called the exchange dept and they told him not at this time. He started to get exicted and nervous, I asked him if he could print the screen for me, he replied he couldn't, then I asked him if he could show me the screen, he said he couldn't. My boyfriend asked him five times in diff ways about the rate. He asked him so 1 iqd would be worth 3.75 usd, he replied yes. He asked him so it would cost me 3.75 to buy 1 iqd, he said yes. The young man asked me how much I had, I told him around a million, his eyes got big and told me thats worth a lot of millions and I said yes it is. He laugh and said I guess you can't buy them anymore can you. My boyfriend called him back this afternoon and the young man told him he can't talk to him.

Dollarization phenomenon, my you know what! The CBI is creating it! Period ending, for the sake of making big money on the IQD when they release the lower denominations after RV!

Let’s dollarize them, pulling the large notes out, then buy back the dollar using lower denominations of the IQD after RV. It’s that simple!

Again, if you are holding dinars, including people of Iraq, you are a winner! But if you are a person in Iraq holding dollars you will be a loser!

I do not believe the CBI has pulled enough IQD out of the market in Iraq yet and the other markets are not quite positioned yet, such as the USD being at the right value. The article states the US dollar is only about 40% in the Iraq market. I believe this needs to be 50% or higher for them to break even at 1 to 1 RV when releasing the lower denomination IQD, but if they RV higher that is no matter, especially at the numbers flying around on these boards. 40% will be enough!
