His Excellency Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki met the Romanian Foreign Minister Mr. Titus Corlăţean at his office on Sunday.
The Prime Minister called for increasing cooperation between the two countries at various levels, stressing Iraq's readiness to develop its long standing relations with Romania in all areas, especially in the fields of agriculture, industry and infrastructure.
He also called for the activation the Joint High Committee, which deals with the areas of cooperation between the two countries .
The Romanian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s desire to develop cooperation with Iraq in various fields, especially in the areas of transport, energy, agriculture, industry, health and education. He highlighted his country’s commitment to developing relations with Iraq in all fields
Mr. Titus Corlăţean handed the Prime Minister an official invitation from the Romanian Prime Minister to visit Romania, and His Excellency received the invitation with thanks, and expressed his desire to visit Romania at a mutually convenient time.
