So to think that they will shut down post rv is incorrect... they are currency dealers...and they will be notified for the RATE RELEASE.. not the iraqi rv... don't wait for the wrong things

If it has not showed by Tuesday AM, I have stated that I need answers and will deal with personal issues that will make me make some hard decisions on my involvement in this at this time... We wait together and discern the information as it comes in.

[BWM] I'm not concerned at the moment because I can't control it. Do I have alternative plans in place? Yes - that's my nature, but I'm not worried about the possibility of passing this week.

[BWM] Welcome to my world. It will depend on the banks. Personally, mine has to send the money off to be verified.. NOT in my plans.. they may get to "hold" a small percentage of my funds post cash in but I will be looking to diversify my funds between several banks for protection.

[BWM] Everyone has an opinion... and like I've stated in the past, go with what you can honestly believe in and support. Many of you have heard enough that you understand what some are about and just let it go. [BWM] Kinda hard when they can't be a member without international trading.

[BWM] I don't believe the US could blackout diddley. Too many people who want to run tell and be the first... and still you have to understand this is a FLUID situation. You can't get dozen people from different cultures together and get one decision much less the number of countries that have been involved with this and expect anything to happen quickly and without issues.

[BWM] Yes... the order you see - all those announced is still yet to be seen...

[BWM] That would depend on the agency you were with. Problems with holding large cash deposits and such would come into play and the fees are associated with each agency. Wouldn't hurt to call and see their policies BEFOREhand

[BWM] I don't speculate with the current administration. I respect the office and it stops there.

[BWM] Many banks will NOT use de la rue machines; they are expensive. But - they will use their currency books or the online program that a number have... just make sure before you go cash in which BRANCH you need to go to, to get ONSITE verification.

[BWM] I got all kinds of opinions but this is like Russian roulette when dealing with Iraq. I will say I think when it occurs will tell you a lot about who is in control. If it went tonight and we were "shutout" tomorrow with banks it would be Iraq's play. If it goes until Monday night then the US was a driving factor in not being a day behind... a lot in play at this time IMO.
[californiaguy] With so many “Big 4” bank branches, and without calling all over - only to get information that could be inaccurate - how we will find out the banks closest to our homes that will cash-out?
[BWM] Just ask your local branch which branch has the capability to do ONSITE verification for foreign currency in larger amounts... they will either give you a branch or tell you that they have to send it off.
[RVMAN] Do you think that they will be pulling our taxes out as we cash in?
[BWM] Can't. According to what an IRS agent told me that's illegal for them to operate within the banks.

[BWM] That's United States Treasury things... whole other ballgame for other countries...
[theda] Would it not seem logical that the dinar has to RV before Maliki assumes his position with OPEC (I think that's the agency he will preside over) or becomes a full member of the WTO or hosts the Arab Summit that is slated for March, I believe?

[BWM] sfmhi - One at a time.... we'll be around

[BWM] faithdinar - I mean… there are still lawyers that are just unscrupulous enough to sue the government... and the ones I have asked believe you can win.
[rdailey] How can DinarBanker lock in a rate when they are taking a big chance on the rate going down? If I lock in upfront at $5, then before my appointment time it drops to $2, seems they would be taking a huge loss.
[BWM] Great question. I have asked this myself and the only answer that has made sense is that the dealers would lock rates also. Guess we'll know once this hits what the real answer is... and remember that the statement with Dinar Banker says they will make EVERY EFFORT to give you the CBI rate officially... there are always loopholes in every system...just be careful.

[BWM] We believe that this is just a matter of "showing"

[BWM] That's a great question if they have a similar form... it's a US form so I'm sure they have something similar.
[suziqiqd] If you don't have trusts set up yet and we need to cash in quickly for some reason, what would I need to do first? Cash-in and then get trust? Get trust then cash-in?
[BWM] Trusts won't take long and the banks can help you set up something to transfer money into. They want your business.

[jm44] Some people worry about the rate coming out high and then dropping rapidly. I feel that, if companies like Dinar Banker "lock in" a rate when an appointment is made, their opinion is that the rate will maintain long enough for them to come out ahead. Your thoughts?
[BWM] As stated earlier... an interesting scenario could arise from this... we will see
[theda] Do you agree there is a greater chance that if Iraq is in control of the RV, they will announce it when our banks are closed just to display their new sovereignty, position and ability to make that decision?
[BWM] Again... we believe on the CBI which means that we would be closed... but the timing is what day of the week for me to determine who's in "control"
[rjandrj2] Could you recap the steps that everyone “should have done or planned” before the rv? We hear tax attorneys and CPA's but what if someone doesn't have the means the do that before the RV?
[BWM] (1) Know what banks you will finally place your money into; (2) know what dealers/banks etc., are open and when and the procedures to get into see them; (3) decide based on the rate where you will go; (4) what personal security do you need to have worked out based on your cash in location; (5) does your bank offer free tax attorney counsel? (6) what and how many type of trusts do you need... these are just a few of the questions you should have asked and hopefully have reasonable answers for.
[brothers4751] Doesn't IRAQ have 2% over 3 months variation maximum on a RV????
[BWM] The constitution of Iraq states they must maintain a 2% range BUT there are ways around that with how it is termed in regards to managed float vs free float vs dirty float. Again, HOW it is termed when released with the rate will be important.
[stillsuki2] I have been told many times not to talk to the banks until after the RV and you are saying, “ask them now.” I'm sure things change as we have gone along, just wondering.
[BWM] There are questions you can ask them about your "investment" you never have to mention dinar.
[drcarolyn] Everyone says to be ready; do your homework but then also say DON'T call the banks. So how do we get ready and have a plan and NOT call the banks??? It makes me nervous because I haven't called the banks!!!
[BWM] Again...talk about your maturing investment... don't mention dinar... just ask them about asset protection and such... give them as little information as you can while getting as much as you can.
